After School & Summer Program
Our After School Program helps us extend the Montessori Methodology to children pursuing their early childhood education (children below age 6) and primary education (children below age 10). The Casa offers various activities that help children spend their time creatively and doing purposeful activities. We try our best to enrich their environment to get them curious, explore and become skillful and organized. We follow two main principles:
- 1. Follow the Child as aid to life
- 2. Child's own work (experiential learning)
The Program aims to support children develop concentration, independence, order, skill of the particular activity, enriched language and appropriate social skills. Children learn to be independent and care for themselves, others and the environment. The Casa believes in creating a House of Children where children function as a small community together. We try to adapt environment friendly approach and are open to sustainable solutions and ideas from all families of the Bumblbees Community.
What the After school doesn't include is professional guidance to any specific activity. We introduce children to various arts and crafts, sewing, gardening, simple fire less cooking, simple games with ball, botany, zoology, nature walks, singing, everything that helps channelize the child's energy creatively and purposefully. We read books to them regularly and allow children to borrow and return books from our library regularly. The time spent here is gadget free and helps children connect to their real world.
What we expect from Parents?
Education is an aid to life. There is much more to observe, to learn and discover. We do not have a curriculum for After School, no entertainment but simple joy of learning and growing skills through child's own interests, curiosities and work.
