About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer the Montessori philosophy and method of education to children from a wide range of socio-economic, cultural, and life style backgrounds. A flexible program, maintaining the highest standards of quality, is designed to serve the needs of today’s families. Bumblbees Casa dei Bambini, lead by the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori, strives to implement an authentic “children’s house”. It is recognized that Montessori is not simply a method of education, but a philosophy of life and human development. Inherent in this philosophy is a profound respect for the needs of the whole child. Holistic attention is centered upon the emotional, physical, social, moral, spiritual, personal, and intellectual growth of each child. Bumblbees Casa dei Bambini is committed to creating a warm, nurturing atmosphere of acceptance for all of our children and their families. The prepared Montessori environment will allow children to grow at their own pace, and to independently discover their uniquely individual strengths and potential.

Affiliation

Our Directress is trained at Navadisha Montessori Foundation and certified by AMI (Association Montessori International, Netherlands), originally founded by Dr. Maria Montessori herself in 1929. All standards and guidelines set forth by AMI are strictly adhered to. AMI does not have any affiliations to any Schools. We employ AMI certified directresses and directors as well as IMC/IMS certified teachers who are groomed to AMI standards.

Programs Offered

Bumblbees Casa dei Bambini programs are for children two through six years of age. Enrollment priority is given on first come basis. Parents who enroll their child make a commitment to continue through all three Montessori years. Please ask in person why?

Infant Community:

Children aged below two and half years will start with Infant Community. The program focuses on emotional, social and physical development of a very young infant who is just beginning to talk. Activities that foster primary motor coordination, independence and language are cultivated. Rather than a classroom, it is a nurturing environment where very young children experience their first contact with other children. This program is only for children who would continue their education at Bumbl Bees Casa dei Bambini.

Montessori three years

The curriculum is incredibly vast yet supports learning naturally and effortlessly.At Bumblbees we work hand in hand with the parents. An individual Work Plan and Development Report will be shared every term with the Parents. Montessori Method is indirect preparations and spontaneous natural development in the child. That requires the child’s family to hold back and allow your child to learn on their own. Which means you can talk about an apple but refrain from A for Apple. Please understand that education is way more than literacy. Please use the Parent-Child corner on our website to understand your child better and the variety of activities that you can do to engage your child productively. Also please share your ideas and your discoveries with us to help grow a more responsible child friendly community. Parents are encouraged to make an appointment on Saturday mornings to discuss any issues, concerns or general well being of the child. Children are welcome to accompany the parents and they may use the library or play during the Parent-Teacher meetings.

Extended Hours(After School day care):

Children spend the day like at home after their respective working hours. We arrange for art, music, games and activities that foster independent learning. All snacks are provided. Since children come from varied communities, we prefer children bring their own lunch from home. If the school meals and the child’s food habits are similar, you may opt for the lunch provided at school at no additional costs.
